Caring for the needs of the people of today and the future
July Panuera, Peruvian, is the oldest of four brothers. When she was 12 years old, she had to take care of the youngest and had to learn to be responsible, careful and to change diapers, but the old ones, made of cloth. “The worst part was washing them,” she recalls.
Today, July continues to be linked to diapers, but as a technical diaper production operator for Softys Lima, the CMPC subsidiary in charge of the production and marketing of personal care products made from virgin fiber and recycled materials.
Her job is to check the quality of the diaper packs that are produced, about 20 per minute. Products that, like the others that the CMPC’s tissue business produces, seek to satisfy the daily and hygiene needs that people have today, but above all that day after day are subjected to processes of innovation and improvement to obtain the necessary and adaptable qualities for the people and needs of the future.
“We work every day to provide our consumers with the quality products they need to attend to such important needs as the care of their children. And most importantly, with products that are born from a fiber as natural and circular as paper”, highlights July.
Softys currently markets more than 25 brands of tissue and personal care products. It has 19 factories distributed in eight countries: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Uruguay.
