The company accepted the most awards among its Chilean peers and was one of the 20 most awarded in the region as a whole. The Latin America Executive Team Ranking studied 59 firms from Chile and 322 from across the continent.

In a vote cast by 1,140 investors and analysts from more than 500 participating firms in the Latin America Executive Team ranking issued by Institutional Investor, CMPC placed as “#1 Most Honored Company in the Chile Rankings” and among the 20 most distinguished companies continent-wide. It also ranked second in the evaluation of the forestry and paper sector in the region.

Among the honors bestowed on CMPC, at the national level it stands out for being the company with the best Investor Day according to analysts who publish company reports and  investors alike. Likewise, the forestry company also led the ranking of the best ESG programs in which the quality of integrated reports, the dissemination of socio-environmental and governance goals, and the issuance of green bonds by the company were all praised.

“Earning awards like these lets us know that the work we are doing is valued by many sectors of the financial market, even in an increasingly challenging and competitive context. The results also show us that as CMPC we must follow the path of resilient, sustainable productivity that puts the needs of our clients and their environment at the center,” said CMPC Investor Relations Manager Claudia Cavada.

At the corporate level, the company’s Chief Executive Officer Francisco Ruiz-Tagle was also recognized as the second best CEO in Chile, as was CMPC’s finance manager, Fernando Hasenberg, who took second place as best CFO.

Regarding the Investor Relations metrics, CMPC’s area manager, Claudia Cavada, also received second place as the best professional in the field. The same position was obtained by both the CMPC department that works with investors and the programs the company has dedicated to this purpose.

Having obtained these results, CMPC leads the Top 50 of the most voted for companies (Most Honored Companies), out of a total of 59 national companies that participated in the assessment.
